Dan ☥ Arhakos ∴ Mindfulness Practitioner • Modern Ritualist • Space Holder • Retreat Facilitator • Spiritual Guide
1:1 Healing Sessions • Group Experiences • Retreats • Community + Professional Wellness Programs
Dan Arhakos is a priestess, healer, retreat facilitator and guide devoted to supporting individuals, families, caregivers, therapists, helping professionals and organizations through life's many transformations. Her work lives at the intersection of the mystical and the practical, blending ancient wisdom traditions with embodied healing practices to help people reconnect with themselves, their communities and the sacred.
Her journey into facilitation began in 2018 through teaching yoga, meditation, mindfulness and emotional regulation practices to autistic individuals and people with developmental disabilities. Working closely alongside students, families, caregivers, educators and therapeutic teams profoundly shaped her understanding of healing, accessibility, inclusion and human connection. The individuals she served became some of her greatest teachers, revealing the power of presence, authenticity, patience and unconditional acceptance.
Today, Dan supports people through grief, loss, life transitions, spiritual awakening, identity shifts, burnout and periods of profound personal transformation. Drawing from shamanic practices, somatic healing, energy work, ritual, mindfulness, nervous system regulation and spiritual mentorship, she creates compassionate spaces where people can safely explore their inner worlds, reclaim forgotten parts of themselves and cultivate deeper trust in their own wisdom.
Her work extends beyond the individual. Dan is deeply passionate about supporting the ecosystems that surround healing, including autistic and neurodivergent communities, families, caregivers, therapists, educators and helping professionals who spend their lives caring for others. She understands that healing rarely happens in isolation and believes that when one person is supported, entire communities benefit.
In addition to her work in spiritual and retreat settings, Dan collaborates with organizations, wellness programs, leadership teams and professional communities seeking to cultivate resilience, emotional well-being, authentic communication, nervous system regulation and meaningful human connection. She brings the same depth of presence and care to professional environments that she offers within ceremonial and healing spaces, creating experiences that honor both personal growth and collective well-being.
Prior to being a lead facilitator at a Plant Medicine Church in 2021, Dan had already been facilitating healing spaces, guiding transformational experiences and holding retreats within her local community. She later became Co-Creator and Lead Facilitator of Discovering Kaia, helping design intimate retreat experiences rooted in integrity, safety, preparation and meaningful integration. Her approach emphasizes that healing is not confined to a single ceremony, session, or retreat but is an ongoing relationship with oneself that unfolds over time.
At the heart of her work is the belief that every person carries an innate wisdom waiting to be remembered. Whether supporting an individual through grief, a family navigating neurodiversity, a caregiver experiencing burnout, a therapist tending to their own healing or a team seeking deeper connection and resilience, Dan creates spaces where people feel seen, heard, honored, and empowered to return to their most authentic selves.
Her devotion is to walking alongside others as they navigate both joy and sorrow, darkness and light, remembrance and becoming, helping them reconnect with the truth that they have never been separate from themselves, from one another, or from the greater mystery of life.

A love note on Discovering Kaia
If you've been with us from the beginning, you have watched our retreats go from Rewilding to Rewilding with Plant Medicine to Rewild and Rediscover and now Discovering Kaia.
Not just in all walks of life, but even in something like hosting Retreats, classes, and workshops we are in a constant state of evolution. And being in that constant state of evolution means that there are changes. There are things that we see that work and things that we see that don't work and we need to have the discernment and integrity to recognize what we want to continue further, and what we need to leave behind.
The word Kaia is very special to us.
There are some ancients that believe the word meant from the Earth and others that meant of the sea.
There are some that believe that the word means forgiveness and some that mean rejoice and purity.
We really deeply appreciate the fact that we have been able to experience everything from the teachings of the Earth to the teachings of the Water and everything in between.
We recognize how important it is to use words that encompass what the human experience truly is. Everything and nothing all at the same time. And that is what Kaia does for us.
Kaia is an Energy of the Earth & of the Ocean.
The Magic of the Sun & the Moon.
The Duality of the Light & the Dark.
For those who have been with us since the beginning, we just want to say thank you so much.
And if you’re just finding us, we hope that you will join us.
And no matter what, we hope that the blessing of Kaia continues to fill your life.
“The moment I have realized God sitting in the temple of every human body, the moment I stand in reverence before every human being and see God in him - that moment I am free from bondage, everything that binds vanishes, and I am free. ”
