Take the holly leaves and put them in the paper
Fold the paper
The holly leaves are acting as protection and as luck inside of the paper
Light your red candle
Take your manifestation paper and set it afire!
Put it into your cauldron and gaze at the fire until it burns out
A blessed Yuletide to you and yours.
Fun little tidbit’s about Holly because I love it so damn much!
Old lore says that the first holly sprang up under Jesus Christ’s feet. The thorny leaves and red berries are said to symbolize his suffering upon the cross, which is why the Christians associate holly with Christmas.
The Druids used to decorate their homes with Holly as a sign of fertility, eternal life and protection. They knew that the earth was giving them a gift to use against any spirits or energies they didn’t want to communicate with. The sharp spikes were representative of keeping sinister spirits away, and the wood of the trees would be used to make weapons.
Many practitioners say that if you have a Holly tree near your home it acts a protection ward so make sure to say hi and thank you to the next Holly tree you see.
If you’ve been here for awhile you know I love making Holly water and the way I make it is just by soaking the leaves and using it as protection water around my home. I leave it in between doorways, on altars and near by bedside for the season. (Holly is poisonous, this is not for consumption)
