Inner Winter Hot Chocolate
And just because you’re not bleeding doesn’t mean you can’t use this recipe!
Dark chocolate contains magnesium, antioxidants, potassium, calcium, iron and various vitamins.
Cinnamon contains anti-inflammatory, anti-oxidant, and anti-microbial properties.
Vanilla contains antioxidant, anti carcinogenic, antidepressant and aphrodisiac properties.
I’m not going to get into the science of it all specifically, but feel free to reach out to an herbalist or nutritionist for more information!
What you’ll need:
♡ 2 cups of whatever desired milk of choice, I use homemade cashew milk
♡ 2 tablespoons of unsweetened cocoa powder
♡ 2-3 tablespoons of whatever sweetener of choice, I use brown sugar
♡ 1/2 cup of dark chocolate or semi sweet chocolate chips
♡ 1-2 teaspoons of vanilla (or to taste)
♡ 1-2 teaspoons of cinnamon (or to taste)
When I’m bleeding I tend to use a whole cup of chocolate chips and less sugar. And yes I make the two cups for myself, but you can share if you’d like.
What to do:
♡ Using a saucepan, or pot heat the milk over medium heat - I don’t let it boil.
♡ Add all ingredients until everything is combined and whisk until everything is melted.
♡ Pour and take a deep breath and send some love into that cup!
♡ Add marshmallows if that calls to you.
